For this road-widening proposal, soil was moved from a roadworks site on Delhi Road to an adjacent temporary holding yard. It then had to be removed within a few days of being placed in the holding yard.
Our solutions
JK Environments facilitated this very fast turnaround by undertaking a preliminary assessment along the roadworks site prior to commencement of excavation works to give an indication of likely conditions. This allowed stockpiles to be segregated based on likely soil type and allowed waste classification and ENM assessments to be undertaken simultaneously.
