JK Group is pleased to announce that Dr Helen Chow has joined our group as Associate Geotechnical Engineer, and will be based at our Macquarie Park head office. Helen completed her PhD under Prof John Small at The University of Sydney in 2007, with a thesis titled ‘Behaviour of Piled Raft Foundations with Different Pile Lenths and Diameters’. Helen has worked in major building projects (Supertall and Mega Foundation Systems) such as the Nakheel Tall Tower in Dubai, the Incheon 151 Tower in South Korea, the KL 118 Tower in Malaysia, the Hospitality Tower in Jeddah and the Crown Tower in Barangaroo. She has published numerous papers, some of which were co-authored with leading geotechnical professionals and academics, including Prof Harry Poulos (with whom she has worked extensively) and Prof John Small. Helen will be working alongside our Analysis Team leader, Dr Ali Parsa, and her skills and experience will greatly enhance JK Geotechnics’ analytical capabilities in foundation design.
