Project challenges
The development site had limited access and excavations were required for the swimming pool construction. The site was in an acid sulfate soil risk area and council required an acid sulfate soil assessment/management plan to be submitted with the Development Application.
Our solutions
We completed an investigation in accordance with the national guidance framework using hand equipment. This enabled us to target the proposed excavation area. Potential acid sulfate soil (PASS) was identified and we subsequently prepared an acid sulfate soil management plan to treat and manage the materials’ excavation.
