ANALYSIS
Geotechnical engineers have always been known for their ability to come up with a “back of an envelope” calculation to enable a quick decision to be made but nowadays a variety of software products enable analysis to a degree of accuracy previously unimaginable. Of course such analyses require input data to be of a high quality if meaningful results are to be obtained and this is where the experience of the team at J&K will not lead you astray – there are plenty of people out there who can buy and operate the software but without the knowledge and experience to be sure the input and output data are reliable the potential for disaster is obvious.
J&K are licensed to use the following specialist software:
- Plaxis – 2D Finite Element Soil/Structure Interaction, Stability and Deformation Analysis
- Slope/W – 2D Slope Stability
- Seep/W – 2D Finite Element Seepage Analysis
- Sigma/W – 2D Finite Element Deformation Analysis
- Phase 2 – 2D Finite Element Deformation Analysis – particularly good for jointed rock masses
- Wallap – Anchored and Cantilever Retaining Wall Analysis Program
- Circly – Mechanistic Pavement Design and Analysis
- Fear – Analysis of variable thicknesses of rafts and pile rafts on layered soils.
- Flea – Deformation/Settlement Analysis of surface footings and slabs
- Concrete Industrial Floors and Pavement Design – Mechanistic Analysis of rigid pavements.
