JK Geotechnics is a proud member of the Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS). Sydney Chapter committee and regularly sponsors the annual AGS symposium in Sydney.

We also believe in fostering relationships with academics, students, other consultants and Councils.  JK Geotechnics is a longstanding UNSW Industry Partner and JK Geotechnics senior staff members have presented at various structural engineering firms to advise on the geotechnical aspects of soil-structure interaction in shoring systems, presented to peak landscape architectural bodies and assisted Councils with community information exercises in relation to geotechnical aspects of coastal erosion.

Woodie has worked on a wide variety of infrastructure, industrial, commercial and residential projects requiring a diverse range of technical capabilities.  Whilst Woodie completes a broad spectrum of work, space constraints on developable sites have required increasingly ambitious design solutions to meet the client’s expectations, whilst protecting neighbouring properties and infrastructure.  As a result, Woodie’s skill set has therefore needed to focus more on 2D and 3D analysis to achieve positive outcomes for developments.  Woodie has extensive experience working collaboratively in multi disciplinary teams to assist in developing designs that meet both the client and infrastructure owner’s requirements.

Bruce was the Convenor of the Working Group which prepared the AGS Landslide Risk Management Guidelines first published in March 2000. Bruce now acts as an independent geotechnical consultant primarily involved in peer review and expert reports.
